It read: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby".

Prince Harry's decision to pick a young girl out of the crowd to help him officially open the Future Youth Zone has left royal fans convinced about the gender of his unborn baby.

The photographer, who has been taking pictures of the royal family since the early 1990s, thinks the couple may issue the first image of their newborn on their new Instagram account. Mr Johnson also said he "doesn't recognise" the Meghan staff at Kensington Palace call "duchess difficult", and instead insisted she is a "really wonderful person".

The Queen's daughter Princess Anne and Mark Phillips kicked off the custom in 1981 when they introduced baby Zara Phillips on the steps outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, London.

Speaking with ET at The Hollywood Reporter's 9th Annual Powerful People in Media event, King, who attended Markle's baby shower in New York City, noted that she agrees with Winfrey.

"I think this is a good time for the world to see the other side of Meghan's family - the positive side, not the degenerative side - and for them to be part of her story", Johnson said.

It's also worth remembering Harry has expressed his frustration towards the press on many occasions - including their attitudes towards Meghan's racial background.
