Lori Loughlin Arrives at Court for College Admissions Scandal Case

  • Lori Loughlin breaks her silence following the college admissions scandal, saying she is ‘sorry’

So far, 50 people have been charged in the scam, and more indictments are reportedly expected.

The man at the center of the scandal, Rick Singer, has pleaded guilty and has been cooperating with authorities since late 2018, according to court records.

Stanford, USC, Georgetown and other universities implicated in the scheme have said they are reviewing the admissions of students accused of participating in the scheme. The former Desperate Housewives star was arrested without incident on March 12 and appeared in court, and was later released on a $250,000 bond. She was not asked to enter a plea.

You can bet that Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli dove into that leftover piece of frozen wedding cake a little prematurely.

Mail and wire fraud is the use of mail or wire services, including email, to defraud another for money or property by means of deception.

Loughlin, with her husband, is accused of paying $500,000 to allow their daughters to pose as members of the crew team at the University of Southern California.

The daughters were recruited as coxswains even though they did not row competitively or otherwise participate in crew, the complaint says. Neither they nor their attorneys have publicly addressed the charges against them.

On Wednesday, Loughlin smiled as she walked out of the courthouse and climbed into a black SUV with her lawyers.

We'll have to wait and see if PJ Washington is on the floor for the game. "If he doesn't play at all, I would not be surprised". Kentucky cruised past Abilene Christian in the first round but struggled to beat Wofford by just six points in Round 2.

Loughlin arrived at the Boston federal courthouse Wednesday afternoon.

The Hollywood stars were summoned to Boston for a mass arraignment of wealthy parents who are charged with cheating to help get their kids into elite colleges.

Two others, California businessman Devin Sloane and marketing executive Jane Buckingham, were excused from attending Wednesday's proceedings after disclosing they were in talks with prosecutors as well.

During their quick meeting with the judge, both Loughlin and Giannulli surrendered their passports.

Huffman faces felony charges for allegedly paying a bribe of $15,000 to have the SAT score of her eldest daughter, Sofia Grace Macy, fraudulently boosted.

Bure appeared on the "Today Show" Tuesday morning with co-star Jodie Sweeten and spoke about her relationship with Loughlin, according to a report published by Page Six.

The case - the biggest college admissions scheme ever prosecuted by the U.S. Justice Department - has roiled the world of higher education and amplified complaints the system is stacked in favor of the rich.

Huffman is accused of paying $15,000 that she disguised as a charitable donation to cheat on her daughter's college entrance exam.
