  • Huawei joins bendable devices trend, revealing its Mate X foldable phone

It's been barely a fortnight since the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the company is working on two more foldable phones, each with its own distinctive design. One will be similar to the "falcon wing" design of the Huawei Mate X, while another will be a simple clamshell, as opposed to the "book" style arrangement of the Galaxy Fold. The newly announced Galaxy Fold does fold inward like a clamshell as well but it does so horizontally like a laptop. Samsung reportedly considered releasing it first but chose to release the current Fold model instead. That device, which is now being tested with mockups, may include an external screen, though this may be removed depending on how customers respond to a similar display on the Galaxy Fold.

A spokeswoman for Suwon, South Korea-based Samsung declined to comment on plans for new foldable phones. It is thinner without an extra screen.

No other details about the design, features or the pricing of these devices are revealed in the report.

The unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Fold ahead at the Unpacked event earlier this month disrupted the smartphone community.

House panel to widen Trump probe, request documents
Asked on "ABC This Week" whether he believes the president obstructed justice, Nadler replied, "yes I do". Doug Collins (R-GA) talk before a hearing on gun violence legislation on February 06, 2019.

With both Samsung and Apple now offering phablet devices with jaw-dropping SIM-free prices of around £1,000, now might be the time to switch to the third biggest player in the smartphone game - Huawei. According to Bloomberg, Samsung is now using mock-ups to fine-tune the design and this could be a successor to its W series flip-phones for the Chinese market.

The Galaxy Fold's screen imperfection develops on a protective film covering the touch sensor bonded with the display underneath, the person said.

The vice president also said that Samsung had to overcome a tougher challenge which was to create a "perfect close" for the foldable device. It's logical that the OLED panel manufacturer is trying to lure them into the world of foldables by giving them samples for use in prototyping of new flexible iPhones and Pixels. Since the Galaxy S10 5G won't be released for at least a few more months, we don't know how well its camera performs. Samsung is folding sh*t, my guys.
