India's diplomatic initiative to ensure Pakistan takes action against terrorist groups and winds up the terror training infrastructure was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, according to the person mentioned above.

Pakistan has detained two close relatives of the leader of militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Masood Azhar, as part of a new crackdown against militant groups, the interior ministry spokesman said on Tuesday.

"This is across the board - we don't want to give the impression that we are against one organisation", he said.

Accepting Pakistan is acting on terror groups but without "anybody's pressure", Ghafoor said, "Instead of blaming Pakistan world should assist and facilitate us in getting rid of such organisations".

Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday hinted that his country may not oppose a joint move by France, Britain and the United States in the UN Security Council to list Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group's chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. India Wednesday handed over to Pakistan a dossier on "specific details" of involvement of JeM in the attack. Pakistan, from the get-go, rejected the Indian claim, urging New Delhi to share "actionable evidence" so that it could act upon it. "If we obtain any further evidence or if we have to investigate any organisation, the government can take any organisation into custody at any time", he said.

India accuses Pakistan of allowing militant groups to operate on its territory and says Pakistani security agencies played a role in the attack, which was claimed by JeM and killed 40 Indian troops.

If Tyron Woodley is unseated as champion, it's not out of the question that Askren could be in title contention with a victory. A lot of the discussion surrounding this bout has been around the fact that Woodley is seemingly a better version of Usman.

"We have launched a crackdown against proscribed organisations and have taken 44 individuals into custody, including Mufti Abdul Rauf and Hammad Azhar", Afridi told reporters.

A high-level meeting was held in Pakistan's Ministry of Interior on Monday and it was attended by representatives of all provincial governments of that country.

This latest development comes only days after Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in interviews to western media outlets, not only accepted that Jaish chief Masood Azhar is in Pakistan but also that "people over here" were in touch with him.

"It was made a decision to speed up action against all proscribed organizations".

Under the UNSC sanctions, designated entities are banned from travel outside the country, face an assets freeze and can't access weapons.

After failing to adequately convince the FATF, Pakistan is now required to complete actions it has to take by the May timeline.
