New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo is aggressively working to bring Amazon back to New York after democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) played a role in derailing Amazon's plan to bring tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars of economic activity to New York City.

The advertisement, an open letter to Bezos that was set to appear on a full page in Friday's newspaper, is aimed at combating the notion that the opposition to Amazon was widespread, arguing that a "clear majority" of New Yorkers support the company.

Business leaders, community figures and politicians penned an open letter to Jeff Bezos asking him to reconsider scrapping the Amazon HQ2 in Queens deal. "So, I think the point was more, not that Amazon is going to change its mind, I don't think that they do".

Still, many have said it's too late for Amazon to reconsider, but Crain's Greg David suggests otherwise.

On WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show Friday morning, Cuomo said that he has no reason to believe that Amazon is reconsidering it's cancellation of the HQ2 in Queens deal - "Would I like them to?"

Gov. Cuomo blames a group of lawmakers for breaking up the deal and said, "The New York State Senate has done tremendous damage".

The four members of the NY congressional delegation who signed the letter were U.S. Representatives Carolyn Maloney, Hakeem Jeffries, Gregory Meeks and Max Rose. "We are excited to bring our new Amazon headquarters to National Landing and help support the community", she said.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has been the sponsor of the Geneva Convention since the beginning. There are many instances even in Vietnam War when American pilots were arrested but they were not executed.

Dubbed Amazon HQ2-Apalooza by host Bisnow Media, Thursday's event gave the northern Virginia business community a chance to discuss new opportunities to profit from Amazon's arrival, while the demonstrators complained that the general public had been excluded from the negotiations and decision-making. We don't want anyone to think that NY doesn't understand that we are the home of entrepreneurial business, and we want young people coming here and new talent. The company has said it's not planning to look for a substitute for NY to build its HQ2 any time soon.

The plan was announced last November and would have created over $10billion in revenue over the next 20 years.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed Thursday that he is still fighting for Bezos to return to NY.

The award helped to provoke vocal opposition to the said project, even though it was supported by the governor and mayor of NY.

"We want all businesses nationwide to know that this was an oddity", he said.

NewYorkattracts the best, most diverse talent from across the globe. However, it promises that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill DiBlasio will work together to ensure that Amazon gets the "workforce development, public education and infrastructure investments" necessary for the project. "We are a dynamic new center of the country's most inclusive tech economy", the letter concluded.
