  • Apple's Holding a Surprise Event on March 25, Here's What to Expect

According to Bloomberg, the video streaming service will be announced at a March 25 event that Apple's expected to use to announce its new news service.

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Apple has pitched to publishers that it plans to keep half of the revenue generation by the subscription service, whereas the remaining half will be distributed among the publishers based on the time users engaged with their articles.

From a timing perspective, it seems entirely possible that Apple finally gives the world a look at its video service at its upcoming event, rumored to be happening at the end of March. "There will be more things coming, I don't want to tell you what they are".

Since a lot of enthusiasts are waiting for Apple's Video service that was rumored to debut sometime in April, we could assume that this March event will be a good occasion for Apple to reveal all the details about this new subscription service.

EPL: Eden Hazard blamed for Chelsea’s 6-0 defeat to Man City
It's suggested for some months the manager and senior players have been at odds over Sarri's tactical demands. It could even have been worse for Chelsea as Aguero missed a good early chance and also hit the bar.

Past rumors have suggested that the original TV content platform could be launched this spring, which would line up with a March 25 event.

Similar to reported frustrations regarding Apple's news app, where the company is rumoured to be pushing for a 50 percent revenue cut for each subscription, incumbent movie and television platforms are also unhappy with the split Apple is offering. Since Apple announced in November that it would no longer break out iPhone sales in its quarterly earnings reports, investors will likely be looking to the growth of its services business moving forward, which reached an all-time high of $10 billion (R137.4 billion) during the holiday quarter. The New York Times and the Washington Post are said to be among the publishers that are not happy with Apple's terms. In comparison, Apple's developer program only takes a 30-percent cut of the revenue generated from app purchases in the App Store. Others have transitioned to locking all content behind a paywall, while others offer a certain amount of free content to all readers, requiring payment to access the rest.

An Apple spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by ZDNet.
