Sudburians can expect some nasty driving conditions Monday as freezing rain moves into the area.

Temperatures have been above freezing for more than two days, reaching the 50s on Monday, after Chicago endured more than two days of temperatures below zero last week, but the recent mild stretch comes to an end overnight. As mentioned above surface temperatures will be key on precipitation type on Wednesday whether it's freezing rain likely in the morning or just rain likely by the afternoon.

It was another handsome weather day on Tuesday along the Front Range with seasonal temperatures, sunny skies and dry conditions.

Freezing rain is expected to turn to plain rain as temperatures climb above freezing Wednesday night. Exactly how much snow the foothills could see is not exactly clear, but the snow level could drop to the 1500' level after midnight. A more impactful storm could bring some rain, snow, and freezing rain Wednesday night into Thursday.

The Kettle Creek Conservation Authority (KCCA) says flooding has been observed in some low-lying areas and officials are monitoring an ice jam north of Port Stanley. Afterwards, highs fall back into the mid to upper 30s with freezing rain/wintry mix chances increasing Wednesday and Thursday, leading to potentially slicker travel midweek.

Little if any snow accumulation is expected.

While the Upper Thames River, Lower Thames River, Ausable Bayfield, and St. Clair conservation authorities have issued water safety bulletins, both the Kettle Creek and Catfish Creek conservation authorities issued flood warnings Tuesday afternoon.
